Lebanon: A drone on wheels

There’s no doubt that the assassination of ISF intelligence chief Wissam El-Hassan is a blow to the fragile unity of Lebanon. Wait, though, here’s Hillary Clinton demanding an end to impunity for political assassinations. No, really. Somebody warn George Bush.
But the interesting thing is that the media are all reporting that El-Hassan led the investigation that pinned the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri on Syria, which is true. But of course it was decided a couple of years ago that this was in fact wrong, and the culprits were from Hezbollah, the Islamic organisation with ties to Iran. So does this mean that the official explanation is changing? That quite soon now Syria will have “always” been responsible for the attack? Watch this and other spaces.
